With the extra time (extension) I decided to get some renders up.

Week 13/14 | Miranda Kerr House
Sketchup Model
Must have to say it took me a while to model up as I wanted everything to be able to build without using any glue but just the structure stand on its own. I had to make sure every piece were cut in the right places to prepare for laser cut or print. Knowing it's going to be a busy time I have to make sure that everything was perfect so I would not have to go back to to re-cut or re-print anything.
Laser Cut using the one in our lab. Cut through most of the white card but some didn't cut through which was okay. Had to pull them off the card. For my acrylic and MDF, I had to use to square house since I couldn't cut the sheets smaller by myself. While I was there I did cut the leftover to smaller sheets. Eventually I did have to laser cut more MDF so I used our smaller machine, worked fine (power:100; Speed: 10%; PPI:500; thickness: 6mm) Took approimately 5 minutes.
Top part interlocked with each other perfectly. Glue was not necessary for this model.
Tried using wire at first to hold the acrylic up but it was taking too long and was quite difficult. I opted for some strings typically used for jewellery making. I did add a bit of super glue on the knot to avoid it was unfastening once I cut the ends off.
3d Printing the crown was quite enjoyable to watch. Small one took roughly 40min - the bottom part didn't print out that well but the rest of the print went well. As for the larger one it was printing perfectly until about 80% the filament got in a knot and didn't go through so you can see there's a bit of disruption near the top, but I let it continue print and I think it turned out okay. That took an hour and 20mins.
These flowers printed pretty well. Took 20mins each. A smaller version was printed but it was s lightly too small to see the petals.
As for the rose small version turned out better then the larger ones.
Finally, altogether. The MDF edges is black from the laser cut, so it's difficult to see as it blends with the background. I think this might be a good thing, giving more focus on the building itself then to the surrounding.
Next... take some nice photos....
